Succulent Saturdays

The fun I get every single time I'm with these people is still beyond me. There can never be enough words, I guess.

Spice Gays!
Jene, me, Attorney Mommy, Boss Jap, Gari

Pre-booze at Agave

Here's what I wore two Saturdays ago:

Corset top from the Superb Bazaar, Shoes from Singapore

Fell in love with this skirt the first time I saw it. I love Aztec prints! (Skirt by Apt. 8, The Ramp)

This Marilyn Monroe necklace is such a beauty. (Superb Bazaar)

I've always been very conscious of my arms and shoulders. My shoulders are broad, more like swimmer-type ones, and my arms are just... well, huge. But that's only me. Friends, on the other hand, have always contradicted my insecurities. Should I believe 'em and just start to feel good about myself? (Not that I don't feel good about myself at all)

New Shoe Haul

You guys wanna know how I spent my Independence Day? I went to the mall and ridiculously got two pairs of shoes, to think I don't even need new ones.

Speaking of being such a spender, I seriously wanted to get three. I planned to. But I had no size for the first one I picked. When I got to Primadonna, I knew right then that I won't be leaving the store without getting anything. After trying out different pairs, I finally chose this nude pair with Teal straps. Left the store, had dinner and... I had to go back. I wasn't satisfied with the first one so I got something else instead. I walked out happy.

Parisian has nice shoes, I could have gotten this also but there was no size 7 for me :(

So... this was the first one.

Had it changed and the lady gave me this instead. I'm definitely keeping it! ♥

Last week's haul

Solemate from SM Department Store has the BEST flats! I love this dip-toe pair I got for only P299.75

Love at first sight for P1,500!

Chunky heels = Comfy feet ♥

THIS GAVE ME A GOOD LAUGH. Parang ang barok lang. :) Haaaa!
Bet?

And here's what I wore:

Sheer Polo: Forever 21
Necklace: Five by Five Accessories for: Hailey
Flats: Topshop
Bag: Follow Your Heart

A stroll in the mall

It was a scorching hot Saturday afternoon when I woke up to the sound of people downstairs planning on where to go. Ang init init, sobrang pawis ako. Yun pala, brownout. Everyone wanted to leave the house and just head straight to the mall.

The girls had to run errands for the folks who went to Singapore for the weekend. And then we had to rush to the mall to see Madagascar 3 and.... have our Gong Cha fix. Ang babaw.

Waiting at Honda Otis

Something colorful for Saturday afternoon ☺

I love this top from Pink Manila! Perfect for any woman's errand day!

Shoes: Toms
Shorts: American Eagle
Top: Pink Manila

There's really nothing wrong with being playful with colors, so long as you pick the right ones to go together!

Always the playful one,
Banana ☺

Fringe Friday

Birthdays and Fridays always call for a celebration! All the more if your birthday falls on a Friday, don't we all think? But no, it wasn't mine to celebrate but my brother's. Last Friday, I had dinner with the family first before maximizing the start of the weekend with friends. And just like where most families (with kids) usually go, dinner happened in Shakey's E.Rodriguez. I've tried dining in Shakey's a couple of times with friends and there is no way I couldn't say it is fun-ner with family!

He couldn't get enough of anything that has wheels!
Brought my beshies Roy and Levy with me since we already got plans after dinner. Here's a photo of us with the birthday boy Rap (the one in Red) before leaving

Here's what I wore on a Friday night with family and friends. I decided to throw on a bandage dress and pair it with this blazer for a sexy without going over the top look since it was just dinner and coffee with friends night.

Bandage dress from Forever 21, Blazer from Forever 21, Bag borrowed from Zachy

Wore a pair of loafers in exchange for heels because I didn't want some overkill to happen with my outfit

Vintage loafers from Tods

I'm always in for the no-make up-just-lipstick look. Choice of lipstick was Mac's Ruby Woo

Sucker for Friday nights,

Modern-day Pocahontas

It was my first time to wear this Aztec print Tassel Poncho that I got from a thrift store a couple of months back. Since the weather here in Manila went extremely scorching hot (plus the material is Cashmere), I had to wait for the perfect time to give this good find a go.

I found this top hanging inside my closet as I was looking for something to wear on that rainy night. You know what I had in mind a few seconds after. :)

Top from a Thrift Shop, Dreamcatcher necklace from Eastwood Bazaar, Shoes from Toms, Bag from Hurley

Fedora borrowed from a friend, Studs and beaded armcandies from Girl Shoppe,  Denim Shorts (barely seen) from H&M, Watch from Chanel

I love that the tribal print of this whole thing instantly gives you that hippie vibe without trying so much.

My cousins kept calling me "Pocahontas" the entire night, and were even teasing me to sing Vanessa Williams' Colors of the Wind. Hence, the lame title.

Any good finds from thrift shops? I bet there are a lot!

Looks good when put altogether

I was never a fan of anything green until one shopping day, my eyes landed on these lovely high-waisted pair. I knew I just had to get it, even without having anything in mind what to wear it with.

My friends have all become addicted to playing Monopoly Deal. Most of the time we would go out of our ways to pull an all-nighter. What's funny is that even on weekends, we'd gladly ditch partying (though not all the time) so we could play.

Anyway, here's what I wore two weekends ago when we could not decide whether to play the game or just drink that night.

Blazer from Forever 21, Shoes from Singapore, Animal-printed corset from Eastwood Bazaar

High-waisted shorts from Forever 21, Bag from FYH, Necklace from  For Hailey and Accessories by: Five

Watch from Chanel

P.S
We ended up playing Monopoly Deal all night. :D

Of Browns and Black

Sundays make me lazy. The thought of having spent too much fun on a Saturday night tires me all the more. But sometimes, no matter how weekends make you feel sleazy, you just need to get up from the comfort of your own bed to attend to the only thing more important than sleep--- Family (and friends, at times).

If I may just share, I have two elder sisters, and two younger brothers who are both in College already. That only means having to go to different parties since we have our own sets of friends. Sundays has always been a day meant for catching up with the siblings.

I couldn't wait for the better photos anymore so please, I hope this'll do for now. :)

L-R: Carlo, Ate Clarisse, Ate Acie, me, Rap
Trust me, it was reaaally difficult to get out from bed. Trust me even more when I say I can never get too lazy. Anyway, here's what I wore to our KTV date.

Yes, it'll be forever my favorite color schemes-- all sorts of brown and black.
Korean brand Dress, Topshop flats, arm candies from Girl Shoppe, Marilyn Monroe embellished with pearls Necklace from the Superb Bazaar, Bag from Follow Your Heart

How do you spend your Sundays? I'll be very interested to know.

But I didn't want to be caught

Dresses are definitely every woman's fashion staple. They make you look perfectly feminine without having to lift a finger. That and so much more.

But in my case, it was a matter of life and death. You know how it feels when you're about to go out late at night and you're afraid to get caught by the elderly? Hence the lazy vibe outfit.

Dress from Cotton On
When I saw its bareback style, I knew I just had to get it.

4-yr old purse from Aldo, Flats from Topshop, Necklace worn as bracelet from SM Accessories
...and yes, achieved this look in no less than ten minutes plus I didn't get caught!

May: #WhatBananaWore

For people who follow me on Instagram (@ennuhbanana), the #WhatBananaWore hashtag has been almost a daily thing. It actually started with a few Outfit-of-the-day posts until I decided to just categorize them with a hashtag so I could easily keep track of how I managed to mix and match whatever's in my closet.

That was just the purpose...until my 6,000+ followers started commenting and liking my posts with the aforementioned hashtag.

From then on, I'd make it a point to do outfit shots each time I go out. I wouldn't say it has become popular all over Instagram but for people who frequently visit, it sure has

And since this blog's really supposed to be mostly about Fashion and blogging about what I wore for the entire month of May would really bore you (since it's already June), here's to briefly show how May wardrobe went.

P.S
I have this weird habit of wearing an accessory too much (because it's new; because it's my favorite; can be both) and in the series of photos I'm about to post.... could you identify which one's my accessory of the month? :)

All photos taken using my iPhone, promise to post better ones next time!

If you noticed it's the necklace, Congratulations for having keen eyes! It's my current favorite, a knock off of House of Harlow's Leather Stations necklace from For Hailey and Accessories by: Five

Okay, I'm really sleepy. Think I'll cut this short and promise to take it from here with my next post! ☺☺☺
